Winter Weather Closure and Remote Learning – Friday, December 5, 2025
Dear OPS Families,
Due to winter weather and unsafe travel conditions, Oxford Preparatory School will be closed for on-campus instruction on Friday, December 5, 2025. Classes and all extracurricular activities on campus are cancelled to ensure the safety of our students and staff.
Remote learning plan
- OPS will shift to remote learning for Friday, December 5, 2025.
- Teachers will post assignments and directions in Canvas, Google Classroom or Communicate to parents by ClassDojo by 8:30 a.m.
- Students (Grade 3-12) and Parents (K-2) should check their school email and/or or ClassDojo / email communication for specific instructions from each teacher.
Student expectations
- Students should complete the day’s assignments by the beginning of the next in person school day, unless the teacher provides a later due date.
- Teachers may hold short virtual check-ins or office hours; times and links will be shared directly through Canvas or ClassDojo.
- If a student experiences power or internet outages, families should email/message teachers as soon as reasonably possible so that extensions or alternative arrangements can be made.
